SCR Dairy Expands Distribution to Market Heatime Monitoring System
MADISON, WI, Nov. 6, 2012 /CNW/ - SCR Dairy Inc. announced today a new partnership with Select Sires Inc. to market the company's Heatime® systems for health monitoring and heat detection. Dairy producers will now have more options to access valuable herd monitoring data available from this exciting new technology that harnesses the power of rumination data for improved health and reproduction management.
"We are excited about this new partnership with Select Sires to offer SCR technology through their sales and distribution channels," says Tom Breunig, U.S. GM for SCR Dairy. "This expanded distribution channel offers both SCR Dairy and Select Sires a great opportunity to help dairy producers gain much-needed efficiencies by obtaining early indications of health and nutrition issues and achieving more successful reproduction programs."
This technology allows dairy producers to shift the way they manage their herd, providing value through an integrated cow intelligence system. The system combines rumination monitoring along with accurate heat detection-including a recommendation for optimal insemination.
"It is Select Sires' goal to offer our customer-owners the most innovative solutions available," says Lyle Kruse, Select Sires vice president, U.S. market development. "The SCR system is a great addition to our line of genetic, reproductive heat detection and animal health products that help increase the profitability and peace of mind of our customers."
Heatime systems will continue to be available from Semex USA (http://www.semexusa.com and Micro Dairy Logic http://www.microdairylogic.com). Those producers who wish to purchase through Select Sires can contact their Select Sires representative or visit http://www.selectsires.com.
