With healthcare expenditures reaching over 50% of GDP expenditures, Québec is entering an era of critical decisions with regards to the structure of its healthcare industry. Upon exploration of several global and local trends, this presentation will then introduce the three main challenges that not only the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) faces, but most other comparable healthcare establishments in the country must deal with as well. These issues will be explored and then met with possible solutions, introducing an array of projects the JGH plans to implement, while hoping to serve as an example and share its knowledge with its peers. The final concept touched upon will be activity based financing, an up and coming new method that should help transform the way Québec healthcare institutions operate.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you to this most interesting luncheon presentation.
