26 years of football to benefit the children at Shriners Hospitals for Children®-Canada in Montreal

MONTREAL, Oct. 2, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are cordially invited for a press conference kicking off the 26th annual edition of the Shrine Bowl football game at Shriners Hospitals for Children®- Canada, located at 1529 Cedar Ave. (opposite the Montreal General Hospital), on Wednesday, October 3rd at 11 a.m.
During the press event, coaching staff and players from the Concordia Stingers and Sherbrooke University's Vert & Or will speak and be available to answer questions. As well, 15 year-old Jérémy Gabriel and 11 year-old Sydney Choules, hospital patients selected as this year's Shrine Bowl King and Queen, will be introduced. Media will have the opportunity to interact with the King and Queen as well as to follow the players as they visit hospitalized children after the speeches.
The public is invited to attend the 26th annual Montreal Shrine Bowl at Concordia stadium, 7200, Sherbrooke St. W. on Saturday, October 6th at 1 p.m. The event is organized by the Dollard des Ormeaux-based Karnak Shriners in conjunction with the Concordia Stingers and Sherbrooke University's Vert & Or.
Shriners Hospitals for Children® - Canada is a leader in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and offers specialized orthopaedic pediatric health care. The previous 25 Montreal Shrine Bowl games have generated $805,000 in donations to Shriners Hospital for Children® - Canada.
