IKEA Announces New Winnipeg Store Opening Date

Winnipeg's new store scheduled to open for business November 28, 2012

BURLINGTON, ON, Sept. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - The wait is over Winnipeg! IKEA has announced today that the highly anticipated launch of Canada's newest store is set for November 28, 2012. The 395,671 square foot store will feature 55 inspirational room settings, 2 full homes, over 650 seats in the restaurant, 1,619 parking spots, 40 cash lanes and a 2,228 square foot play area for children to create a fun day out for the whole family.

"My whole team is counting down the days until we welcome customers to Winnipeg's first IKEA store," says Stephen Bobko, IKEA Winnipeg Store Manager. "With just 72 days left, the excitement is really gaining momentum."

IKEA Winnipeg invites local and surrounding area residents to come join in the excitement and experience Canada's newest IKEA store at the Grand Opening.  The Grand Opening ceremony, starting at 8:20 a.m. will feature entertainment, giveaways as well as appearances by special guests.

The new store is conveniently located at Kenaston Boulevard and Sterling Lyon Parkway.
