Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - City Core Developments to Announce Winner of Harmony Village Lake Simcoe Design Competition

TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - City Core Developments hosted a one-of-a-kind architectural design competition, where four renowned architects presented their proposed design for Harmony Village Lake Simcoe.

The votes are being tallied and on Friday, September 21, City Core Developments is hosting a media, community and VIP reception to reveal the architectural firm that will be awarded the design contract for Harmony Village Lake Simcoe.

A preeminent jury, consisting of internationally recognized architects, media personalities, and architectural critics as well as representatives of City Core Development evaluated the firms' presentations at the competition based on: image, sustainability, master plan, function and marketability.  Harmony Villages' goal is to create a desirable and liveable community.

Throughout this competition, the public has also been encouraged to submit their vote for the design they most preferred and wanted for the Barrie waterfront.  City Core wants to thank the hundred of community members who participated by casting their ballot.   With the commitment to develop a showpiece, resort lifestyle, residential community along the last portion of viable land on Barrie's waterfront, City Core Developments is thrilled to have members of the Barrie community present for this significant event.

Join us for a great evening and the highly anticipated announcement of which firm will be rewarded the design contract of Harmony Village Lake Simcoe.  A reception will be held in the evening where the winning architect firm will be available for interviews about their designs.
