London Company Achieves 13th annual PROFIT HOT 50 ranking
LONDON, ON, Aug. 29, 2012 /CNW/ - PROFIT Magazine today ranked London-based, OLELearning.com, No. 14 on its 13th annual PROFIT HOT 50, the definitive ranking of Canada's Top New Growth Companies.
OLELearning.com, an internet-based workplace safety company, made the PROFIT HOT 50 list with two-year revenue growth of 667%.
"A talented and diverse group of entrepreneurs have built this year's HOT 50 companies," says Ian Portsmouth, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of PROFIT. "Their creativity and ambition spell a bright future for their businesses, and point the way to succeed in Canada's ever-challenging economy."
Workplace safety is critically important to companies not only for legislative reasons but also for providing the safest environment possible for its employees.
While most of the industry has been offering workplace safety training through workshops for decades, the founders at OLELearning.com saw a growing need for these types of courses to be available online.
The company was founded in 2009 by Londoners, Mark Lisburn, David Lisburn, Todd Bond, and Frances Rodriguez.
Mark Lisburn, CEO, of OLELearning.com had this to say after receiving the news, "I'm thrilled by our placement in PROFIT HOT 50. We spent over $400,000 in our first year filming and building premium, world-class e-courses that our customers can use, all from the convenience of their home or office. We had to invest so much into the development of these e-courses because we're creating training material that save lives and make companies better. That's deeply meaningful and rewarding for us."
