West Toronto Mothers Rally Against Diesel Train Expansion

Toxic Legacy Created by Pan Am Games Prompts Mass Phone-in to Premier

Who:  Junction Triangle Rail Committee, a group of local residents in West
Toronto opposed to the massive expansion of noisy and polluting diesel
train service along the Georgetown South rail corridor.
   
What:  "Junction Triangle Mothers Against Diesel Potluck." Frustrated by the
government's rush to build a diesel rail link to the airport in time for the
Pan Am Games, residents of the Junction Triangle are hosting a lunchtime
potluck in the park and taking their demands for electric trains directly to
Premier Dalton McGuinty with a group phone-in.

Why:  Surrounded by train tracks on all sides, the Junction Triangle is situated at
