How to have a better school year this year!
MONTREAL, Aug. 27, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The media is invited to a presentation of "Five Things you can do to make 2012 a bullying free year" from Québec's most respected anti bullying and anti discrimination organization.
The Tolerance Foundation (soon to change to Ensemble-for the respect of diversity) will present a list of five suggestions for parents and educators on how to help students have a happier and safer experience at school.
Every fall the temperature cools, and kids flock back to school, with high hopes that this will be the year that things fall into place, the best year of all.
But often it quickly becomes clear that old patterns take hold, and kids who have been victimized become victims once again. Kids who have abused their power fall back into their old roles. Often grownups do not know what to do.
Now that the Québec government has passed an anti bullying law, find out how each family and school can start to work toward solutions to a problem that can ruin the school year, and even drive students to drop out, or worse.
