Plug'n Drive Ontario hosts EV Day to educate the public about electric cars

TORONTO, Aug. 11, 2012 /CNW/ - The 'EV Smile' is an involuntary, excitable and uncontrollable response that is a result of driving an electric car.  Find out what yours looks like at Toronto's largest EV roadshow...

WHAT: A public event to educate and inform visitors about what it takes to own and operate an electric vehicle in Ontario.  Car manufacturers, industry influencers and service providers will be in the square to answer questions about range anxiety, operating costs and vehicles.
   
  A fleet of electric vehicles will also be available for test drive, and on display will be the recently unveiled Toyota RAV4EV, Toyota plug-in Prius, Chevrolet VOLT, Fisker Karma, Mitsubishi i-MiEV, Nissan LEAF, and smart fortwo.
   
WHO:     Plug'n Drive Ontario, Toronto Hydro, electric vehicle manufacturers and other sponsors.

WHEN:   Sunday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
   
WHY:   Plug'n Drive is a non-profit organization that engages in education and outreach activities concerning electric vehicles. "EV Day" is the perfect opportunity to educate a large audience about the current EV models on the market, charging infrastructure, the environmental and economic benefits of EVs and the electricity sector in Ontario
