From Canada to London - It's lift off for the London 2012 Paralympic Summer Games!

OTTAWA, Aug. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - The Olympics may be nearing their end, but London still looms for the Canadian Paralympic Team!

Canada will bring a total of 145 athletes to compete in 15 sports at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, from Aug. 29 to Sept. 9. The Canadian Paralympic Team will be officially announced on Tuesday, August 14, as Canada's wheelchair basketball players make their way through Pearson Airport in Toronto. Athletes and team leadership will be available for interviews, photos and autographs.

"This airport send-off is a great opportunity for the media and the public to meet several top Canadian athletes and coaches en route to the London 2012 Paralympic Games," says Gaétan Tardif, Chef de Mission for the Canadian Paralympic Team. "Team Canada heads to London with exciting medal potential, ready to do battle with the best in the world."
