Media Advisory/Photo Op - Anti-distracted driving campaign launch

TORONTO, July 27, 2012 /CNW/ -

What:   CAA South Central Ontario, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ontario Provincial Police and members of the Traffic Safety Coalition will launch a four-week long anti-distracted driving initiative. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness regarding high-risk behaviours behind the wheel and encourage safe driving habits in hopes of reducing collisions and fatalities on our roads.

Drivers take to the track in go karts to demonstrate the challenges and potential dangers of being distracted while texting behind the wheel.
