Media Advisory - Two Canadians Compete with International Innovators to Save Lives of Developing World Moms and their Babies. Winners Announced Today

SEATTLE, July 14, 2012 /CNW/ - On July 14, Melinda Gates will announce the winners of Saving Lives at Birth's international funding competition designed to accelerate innovations to save the lives of mothers and infants in poor countries. Two extraordinary Canadians are in the running for their bold ideas. Sixty-five finalists from around the world are competing.

Saving Lives at Birth is a partnership of Grand Challenges Canada, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, The Government of Norway and the UK's Department for International Development.
