WHAT: The Canadian Journalism Foundation's CJF Forums presents Robert
Fowler, John Cruickshank and Stephen Northfield in a panel discussion on
the significance of news blackouts in kidnapping cases. They will review
Fowler's case, who himself was kidnapped on December 14, 2008, by al-
Qaeda and held hostage for 130 days before being released, as well as
others. The presentation and audience Q&A will be followed by a cocktail
reception in the adjacent café, where panelists and guests can continue
the discussion.
