SkyPower Achieves Commercial In-service Designation for North America's Most Easterly Wind Power Project

    TORONTO, July 2 /CNW/ - SkyPower Corp. (SkyPower) announced today that
Newfoundland Labrador Hydro (Hydro), a Nalcor Energy company, granted
commercial in-service certification to the company's 27 megawatt (MW) Fermeuse
Wind Power Project located in Fermeuse, Newfoundland. The designation became
effective June 30, 2009. The Fermeuse Wind Power Project's coastal location
makes it North America's most eastern located wind power project.

evident in the warm acceptance we continue to receive for the Project from
Fermeuse and neighbouring communities," said Kerry Adler, Chief Executive

commercial operation, and allows SkyPower to generate a brighter future for
our eastern stakeholders."
    The Fermeuse Wind Power Project consists of nine 3.0 MW, V90 Vestas wind
turbines, and the Project will supply enough electricity for approximately
7,000 households.
