Volkswagen "Green Guts" at the Green Living Show with the launch of its 2009 TDI Clean Diesels
TORONTO, April 25 /CNW/ - Volkswagen Canada is showing consumers they
don't need to make compromises when choosing to buy a green car. Volkswagen's
new low emission TDI Clean Diesel Jetta is high on performance, style,
functionality and affordably priced.
The TDI Clean Diesel engine is designed to run on today's low sulphur
diesel which means great fuel economy and less emissions produced per km
travelled. Not only does the TDI Clean Diesel run on readily available low
sulfur diesel fuel, it's designed to run on B5 bio-diesel.
The TDI (turbo direct injection) already has a loyal fan base because of
its zippiness and oomph and the new TDI Clean Diesel engine delivers even more
power. This will surely cause both loyal fans and newbie conscious consumers
alike to pay attention, as being green has never been so "gutsy".
Volkswagen's vision is to ensure unrestrained mobility for future
generations through economically and ecologically sustainable solutions. As
one of the largest car manufacturers in the world, Volkswagen takes
responsibility for developing cars which are ecologically sound. At the heart
of innovation is the development of highly efficient drive trains, and the
exploration of alternative fuels that use diverse energy sources and, in
particular, CO2-neutral biomass. This will ensure proactive climate protection
and conserve limited resources.
Founded in 1952, Volkswagen Canada is headquartered in Ajax, Ontario. It
is a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany.
